Our double degree student from Uzbekistan Dilshod Baxriddinov recently participated in his first "Green Tech Hakatons II" Him and other three Latvians who were inspired by his idea joined forces to create a real solution! His idea? A Wireless sensor run on batteries and controlled by wifi to save water by dispensing it only when the need arrives! This technical solution is said to save up to 30% water and is planned to be used in greenhouses.  He and his team - the "UZSLV" recieved a grant of 500 Euros to further develop and test the idea. Dilshod says "I learned the first steps to starting a bussiness and I plan to do so here in Latvia." During the event they even managed to find their first clients right here in Jelgava!
